What this is

Take One does not remove or solo the bass. The bass stays inside the instrumental stem, with the rest of the band. Separation is vocal and instrumental only.

What you can do

  • Hear the song without the singer. The instrumental is one stem. Export it and lock your part to it.
  • Film the take. Record video and audio together, then mix what the microphone heard.
  • Hand it to a session. With Studio, vocal and instrumental export as WAV stems that share a start point.

A session

  1. Import the song, or record yourself playing. Headphones keep a speaker backing track out of the mic.
  2. Run separation and lower the vocal.
  3. Mix the result. EQ, compression, and effects are included.
  4. Export. Studio unlocks the master and the WAV stems.
